Any thoughts on David Sokol’s contract with Berkshire Hathaway? I mean, Sokol said he was permitted under his contract to suggest stocks that he owned as potential targets for the company. Buffet’s problem wasnt with Sokol owning the shares, but rather with the fact that Citigroup suggested he purchase them. Is this distinction meaningful? How is this not insider trading? And if it isn’t, well, people that get to make money this way should get ass raped in taxes.
