oh yeah – m4l – be REALLY careful about renting down in the financial district. a lot of those buildings are glorified dorms. i would stay away from anything managed by Rockrose.
Using the term “pragmatic left” in the context of Lula, nobody there could have done what he did from the right (right in countries like Brazil pretty much equals military dictatorship). Lula was amazing. He actually helped to transform the country from a wreck with the one of the biggest differentials between rich and poor to helping to grow a vibrant middle class and buttressing the industries and natural strengths of the country.
The beautiful thing about him was that he recognized the importance of the fiscal and monetary reforms of his predecessors and carried them on. He pulled the whole country to a new center, a new middle class.

Oh for cripesake, lech.
i think this country would be alot better if elected officials could challenge each other to fights (not duels, that would favor the redneck party)
Lechacal–wrong again.
The “staycationer” is infinitejester.
M4L, I considered the financial/seaport area when I moved here, but did not care for it.
In addition to the somewhat dead neighborhood feel after hours, the apartments I saw were real small with horrible layouts.
What would you do for parking there? I would guess that street parking is not too practical, and off-street would have to cost a fortune.
Cobble and legion are totally going to be making out in the corner by the time this is all over.
