  1. “The Spanish Government that was overthrown by Franco…was duly elected by the Spanish people”

[lifting leg, making loud farting noise]

Who cares if they were popularly elected? Plenty of bad people have been polularly elected. The Spanish socialists were a complete joke and were ruining the country.

The British were the lawful rulers of the colonies when we told them to go get fucked.

What matters is who wins, not whether the losers were there lawfully.

  2. Nice try, jackal, but you’re still wrong. That memo would not have been sent from Spain to Germany but from General Franco and his fellow coup plotters to Nazi Germany. Franco and his cohorts had no business inviting the Nazis to bomb Guernica. It was an illegal coup d’etat.

  3. This one is due to the Schwarzer Koelner. Which looks like they just moved into a 1950’s diner and threw some german stuff around to get it biergarteny, but has a decent set of actual german beers/foods.

  4. dona, just got back from Manhattan and have to run down to Carnarsie for a bit but don’t you think some of these funds that are just recently available to small investors part of what is causing commodity prices to rise? Just asking…

I mean, GLD, IAU, SLV, OIL, DCO, DBA, JJG and so on…

Everyone keeps saying the ‘fair value’ of oil is $85 or $65 yet, here we are.

And I do think Obama’s effort at ‘doing something’ about gas prices is sorrowful.
