That’s why 1939 was crossed out in red pen in the memo and replaced with 1937. It was a retroactive formal invitation on behalf of the country at large. You know, kind of like when people sign a contract today but pretend they signed it a while ago and date it retroactively.
Sunday in Philly there was a showdown between our two cats and the squirrel sitting in the tree with now way out.
