President Bush was a much better President than the current a-clown. Yes, Bush spend too much, and Medicare Part D was sickening. But he did the right thing with Iraq and Afghanistan, and the economy was good or great for most of his term. His sins were a lot fewer and shallower than those that have been inflicted on us by Obama, Pelosi, et al.
Negotiate what? The Republicans were correct to oppose Obamacare and the Stimulus and the financial reform plan last year.
Look, the Republicans aren’t blameless, but the Team of Geniuses in control until the current Congress couldn’t even pass a budget.
If you have any respect for what currently passes as a Democrat, I feel sorry for you, from Obama, to that idiot Schumer to Reid, all the way down to Anthony Weiner. What a disgraceful, pathetic ensemble of office holders. They should all be locked up in Guantanamo as “punishment” for Obama “deciding” not to close it. LOL!
I read all about the Obama administration’s efforts with regard to Healthcare Reform.
At no time did the Obama administration take any of the recommendations from Republicans seriously.
In fact, the entire Healthcare bill was written without consent or agreement from the Republicans.
Hell, even Nancy Pelosi stated that she had to pass the bill before she could read what was in it.
…oh substitute Brazil for Brasil up there,
for any spell checkers out there.
No, the economy isn’t wack-a-mole, any only lefties who are pathologically incapable of understanding economics and/or having a notion of history could be surprised at this point. Raise, or promise to raise already high taxes, and economic activity slows to a grind. Say and do stupid things about energy production, and energy prices will go up. Scare people with pre-failed socialist policies like The Stimulus, and Cash For Clunkers, and they are even more scared. Demonize “The Rich,” and the smartest, most talented and ambitious people will stop being so.
“He is a failure protected by racists whose expectation of black people so low that “he’s doing a great job!””
So what was the excuse you have for George Bush? Perhaps it doesn’t occur to you that when we elected Obama it was because Bush was such a horrible leader? And FYI- Obama is so much better. McCain? Don’t make me laugh.
In case some of you forgot, Obama was elected in part because he campaigned on a health care platform. While parts of it are not perfect, its a step up from what we got. And in latest polls, the majority of Americans do not want medicare, social security and medicaid touched- even a majority of Tea Party !!!!! voters. So let’s not kid ourselves- Republicans are not listening.
brooklyncouch,
Sure it’s a game of whack-a-mole.
Wait till the mallet comes down on you
and you’ll realize it.
“I’ll take that as an acknowledgement that
you read and understood my explanation on why defense spending can only be cut so far DH.”
no – i got through the first sentence about being a “superpower” and nodded off since your spacing is hard to read.

DH, there’s nothing worth reading in the other threads today. FYI, I’m reading some old OTs from 2008 – very entertaining!
