  1. “I consider it a failure of the US education system that most members of the public cannot articulate the reasoning for US power projection ….. Our military has contributed enormously to global stability and our own economic power in the past 60 years.”

There was a book published a few years ago titled “Grunts”, that spoke on this topic. The book spoke of the fact that the world’s stability and prosperity is underwritten by the work of largely unrecognized American “grunts” who are deployed throughout the world.

It didn’t sell well in Europe.

  2. I have nothing against guns. I think more people should own one (with heavy regulation and licensing). But in the child-like, shallow, emotion-first mind of most people left of political center, it’s one of the Big Five signs of being a Republican and/or conservative.

Can’t we all just give war a chance for a while?

  3. “That’s what all the Democrats and/or socialists say”

Yeah well in this case it’s a Republican (me) telling you that you sounded pretty dumbassey today. Some of the stuff you said today was right. But a bunch of it was just retarded.

And why not own a gun? Guns are awesome.
