The Swiss totally aren’t pussies at all! Actually by European standards they’re pretty bad ass. There is a constitutional right to bear arms and pretty much everyone owns a gun. Military service is mandatory and there isn’t a Swiss out there who doesn’t know how to fire an automatic weapon. Most houses have bomb shelters. But best of all – all of the roads and bridges into and out of the country are wired with explosives so if they want to isolate themselves…. boom!…fuck you Germany. (not that it’s all about Germany per se, but somehow I don’t think it’s the French they’re worried about)
Well, I was up in Woodstock, NY yesterday, with some War is Not the Answer drones holding signs in the center of town.
War is definitely the answer in certain places–it’s how you get rid of evil people who have taken power.
Anyway, bye bye for now.
Apparently, an open thread is bad for some people when it causes them to think, or be exposed to views that can’t be right because they aren’t your own.
Daveinbedstuy, gifts of that kind generally aren’t taxed, so its kind of the reverse: if they weren’t taxed, they might not be given.
Of course, just having more money to afford having more kids of your own might make you “The Rich,” and taxed for that; in Obamaworld, $250K makes you rich; and 5% of the population paying most of the income taxes, and 47% paying none STILL isn’t fair enough…
