Does anyone know about pans? I have a dark colored non-stick loaf pan. And whatever I bake in it seems to come out a bit darker than I would expect. I’ve tried lowering oven temp. I have an oven thermometer. I’ve tried shortening the bake time slightly. Is this a common issue?
My loaves have been coming out a bit darker lately too.
i dont want to go to a DMV in brooklyn because it might raise a red flag. i want to keep my old manhattan chelsea address on my motor vehicles ID. will they just let me if i say i still live there? i dont remember if i needed to provide proof of address lasst time i got it renewed..

bxgrl….all of the “hallmarks” of most of the coin silver makers are available and can be found online somewhere. i can’t remember where but you can find out who made it, where and when.

Thanks, dibs. I’ll try to find it.

“I thought about reducing the 3/4 c of sugar in Bittman’s recipe after reading that NYT sugar article…”
I actually did reduce the sugar, it just seemed like a lot. Came out fine. I made the Fanny Farmer recipe.
hit the atheists, lech; I wasn’t paying attention earlier in the thread, and missed being pissed off about the normal thing. 😉

Go to the DMV in Coney Island, it’s only a block from the Train Station and the boardwalk.
You get the most interesting people waiting on line there!
