  1. 1. Insisting on actual knowledge to drive your choices; and

    2. Making choices based on faith.

Ugh. Yes, either you mean totally different things with your terms, or those are totally inconsistent, on a basic and fundamental level.

And, if you can’t see that, then there’s no point in arguing with you about it, so I’ll drop it.

  2. “That’s why I can’t have a logical argument unless it’s based on something, to use your word, “provable.” You can’t prove something that isn’t provable. Therefore arguing about whether there is proof for something not provable is irrational. qed, etc. etc.”

    0/1 = 0

    1/0 = undefined

    0/0 = infinity

    bfarwell,
even our most basic mathematics takes leaps of logic outside of exact “proof”.
There is a proof for each of these,
but in the end you will still get some answers as
    “undefined”.

  3. M4L, not sure about the Rangers’ score, but just hoping they get a win. Not sure they can pull off the series without Callahan, but Washington has blown something like 4 out of 5 playoff series after having been up 2-0. Hoping they will have blown 5 out of 6 after this year!
