  1. “‘doctor’ or ‘mister’ is part of the name ”

I call my doctors and my mister by their first names.

I really hate when someone at a party introduces themself as doctor so and so after I have introduced myself by my first name.

I always address senior citzens as Mr. or Mrs unless they tell me not to.

  2. CGar, you didnt do anything wrong. DIBS have thick skin. hence low low odds of DIBS being pissed off at you. and if DIBS is really that pissed off at you for that, fuck him (nh) cause that’s NOT how CGar rolls (repeat, that’s NOT how CGar rolls)

  3. Old dogs, new tricks. It’s like when you’re invited to call a doctor or teacher by his first name but, as far as your brain’s concerned, the ‘doctor’ or ‘mister’ is part of the name & it’s hard to change. Hence IRT, etc. – although I mainly do it about the Lex & 7th Av because the others always did have names you’d use.
I use docs & d-words in both boroughs.
