is it too early in the yr/season to have allergies now? I dont think my stuffy nose and scratchy throat is via a cold hence wondering if it’s allergies
I found Cartagena to be terrific. There is a mix of old historic city, modern suburb and beachfront culture all within the one city. There are also outlying areas that offer attractive residential options. I found the place to be very safe and sort of trendy in the downtown areas; there is an all-night party aspect to the city as well. The city walls are remarkably intact, and the Old City is a terrific place for strolling, with museums, restaurants and shops all located within the Old City’s walls. The walls themselves are lit up at night in various colors, and romanticlly inclined couples often spend the evenings cuddling in the walls’ carved-out lookouts. Spanish is the language, of course. I found it the Colombians speak relatively clearly, and they are easier for a halting Spanish-speaker like myself to deal with than Puerto Ricans or Dominicans. Prices are pretty good too, with a favorable exchange rate, as I recall. I think it is a very strong option as a place to retire.

there is again – “schadenfreude”. Need to add this into the mix and use it more – along with other fancy words I’ve picked up from this blog. This blog would’ve been helpful for SAT verbal scores.

Perhaps you see it as cold truth. Or perhaps it’s just a reflection of a very unattractive smug self-satisfaction.
Considering all of the tragedy the Kennedy’s have had, why the hell would they want to stay in politics? Whatever perceived loss of drive they have has nothing to do with privilege over generations- it has everything to do with assassinations and tragic deaths. Anyone else have the assassinations of brothers in their families? (for starters). The Kennedy’s still manage to do tons of charity work and churn out high achievers. Let us know when you have done as much in the face of so much tragedy, Legion.
