Though I refuse to take my kids to Disney World and I think that’s some sort of middle class American rite of passage.

We did a fairly minimal amount for our son.
The biggest things were to put a latch on the cabinet under the sink where we put the toxic chemicals and putting in a gate on the stairs.
We moved expensive breakables to higher shelves, but kept things we did not care much about on lower ones. He broke one thing and was so upset he did not mess with anything else again.
I think we put the little plastic plug covers in the outlets because someone gave us a pack.

That is exactly what I said. Do you not understand it in the context of my post? Even you have to admit the Kennedy’s have faced tragedy on a scale most of us pray to never experience. Stop trying to make this all about you and your misconceptions.

Just your selective reading of events despite ample historical evidence of trends that show clearly what I stated simply in my initial post.
That dynastic drive tends to dissipate with time.

My kids are growing up middle class with a total real patina of middle class.
It’s hard to get more average than we are.
