I’m Irish married to a black man

I think THL felt it was OK to make fun of Italians becuase she’s married to one. Everyone joined in because it’s sort of accpeted to make fun of Italians in most places (on tv,amongst our friends, at a comedy show) same goes with Irish people.
The reason is we don’t have advocacy groups who are very visible/Vocal standing up for us – that’s why you will see commercials like Lucky Charms,and The Guiness commercials etc etc.
but if someone takes a swipe at another group- jews,blacks or spanish -they usually have a stronger more vocal group to step in and speak up. so maybe benson is saying why is it OK to make fun of Italians but not Jews or Blacks etc?
