bxgrl, you’re completely misinterpreting my words. I’m saying that if you don’t respect him (which is completely your prerogative and fine with me) than why do you care what he says? Personally, if someone I don’t respect says something I don’t like, I would ignore it and/or not tend to really care or get upset. You don’t respect him and you think he plays mind games, so why are you even paying attention to him? Aren’t you falling into the trap you’re claiming he is setting?
gemini- I think that’s probably what he meant- but while its a good thing when people can laugh at themselves, making fun of other groups usually is rather malicious. It’s one thing when you’re good friends with someone- MM has often called me a Zionist tool and I’ve called her a Third World mouthpiece because we kid around about it. MM is family. But we know where we are coming from. Too many times people like to toss out insulting comments and then hide behind that old, oh I’m just kidding. But THL doesn’t have a malicious bone in her body. Nor, do I believe, does benson.

Yes, jawbreaker. I thought the satire might get everyone to tone it down a notch. No effect on this thread whatsoever. They just keep tearing at each other.
Of course, Lehrer gave up political satire as entirely redundant after Kissinger won the Nobel peace prize.
