If it gets really bad financially (and it seems that it already has), why wouldn’t you apply to welfare for a while? Not trying to be snarky or anything but if there are government programs that can help, why wouldn’t you take advantage of them if you are at the point where it’s either that or homelessness?
Also, I know there are programs for people with various disabilities including hearing impairment. When I worked at a large law firm, a couple of people in our accounting department were hired through the hearing impairment program. They did accounts payable stuff and I am almost positive made 40K+ with full benefits. It’s not a glamour job but they seemed to enjoy it and they were both great people and very good at the job. One read lips and spoke and we had some good laughs cause I could gossip with him with just opening my mouth to speak and not using my voice.

okay, according to the schedule, it’s time for Puns.
I have a friend who has a vagina (she’s female) and is pregnant. She wants to keep the baby but not her boyfriend (who knocked her up). She is now unemployed. She applied for Medicaid for Preggo women aand was denied. She had income last year and they based their decision on that. That she made too much to qualify.
So rob, it aint that easy to work the system, even with a vagina.
