didnt most people in detroit take their section 8 voucher and ran to the suburbs? detroits inner core actually did grow tho, but it was typical moonface growth.
lechacal, I meant it was one of the primary TAX reasons. It’s certainly about jobs in Texas. In the “retirement” states more about taxes.
And yes, if you’d just vote Republican, these problems would be fixed. You wouldn’t have all your politicians in the pockets of the teachers unions and other unions.
I like that randolph pops in occasionally to cause mischief.
We have a few posters who are “hit and run” type posters,
they aren’t comitted emotionally in the least so they move in and out of the conversation in a capricious and often funny manner.
Throw these doctors in as part of the problem, not the solution.
Note to OT baby mommas,
The out of network cost of a child delivery can be $30,000 for the Ob alone.
Cost is outrageous and we already went over how to solve the problem.
“there’s a reason i dont post in any of your threads, i find them boring!”

I disagree with DIBS.
Availability of jobs is about 10,000 times more important than estate taxes in population trends.
New York has done everything possible to drive out jobs. High taxes, general antipathy towards industry, and a union-friends environment.
States like Texas are pretty much the opposite. And that’s why they have plenty of jobs and people keep moving there.
There is a very easy way to fix this by the way. Vote Republican.

Estate taxes are one of the primary drivers of relocation. maybe a small part but a big driver.
Look up the overall tax rates for growing vs declining states. it’ll be VERY clear.
