JB, kind of hard for us to do that when we owe Japan, China, MidEast all them T-Bill notes. dont think they’ll be that understanding if we stop their imports (ie they wont be buying any more of our future T-Bills)
It might be too early for this, but can someone explain why protectionism doesn’t work? i.e., why cant we just manufacture stuff here again and have people buy American? It’s not the most efficient way for the world economy to function, but wouldn’t it provide more jobs and more money for more people in this country and if copied across the globe, the world?
how do you know all of this about your neighbors already so fast? i think that’s the one thing that would annoy me. it seems like it’s impossible to keep any level of dignified anonymity in the suburbs.
Lech is going to be annoyed when he finds out later on why some fellow park slopers moved in – ie they were reading OT and feel if that town can calm Lech down, it must be a great place to live.

“2. Jackal goes postal up there because it’s just too damn nice?”
Snort! Yeah, we’ll see how long this lasts! : P
Glad to hear the move went well, and that Mrs. L is feeling better!
yeah – one of the servers is a pink haired female hipster. she’s horrendous (not appearance – the ability to do her job properly)
Pink haired hipster???
Why should someone pay a higher price for something made here when something equally good, OR BETTER can be made overseas and be cheaper?
It’s called rational economic behaviour.
Went to Saraghina for lunch Saturday.
Dave – if you’re cool with the owners you should let them know that that pink haired hipster isn’t helping them keep any customers.
oh, and don’t put pieces of rock in pizza.
