  1. “All of the people who are bemoaning the loss of American jobs are operating on the premise that American jobs are worth more than Chinese jobs.
    That’s a pretty provincial view.
Please explain why it is so without resorting to flag waving, meaningless generalities, or empty feel-good statements that mean nothing.”

That’s not my point at all. I think all countries should have their own full-fledged and flowering economies. It isn’t efficient and it would be repetitive, but who cares, more people get a chance to work and have money.

oh just call her Artisinal Barbie and im SURE there will be tard’s out there willing to fork over 60 bux instead of 20 for her.

Rob, we tried :o(. Not enough suckas out there.

  3. “To take it all the way, money is fake, we make it up, so why can’t we create a system that works for everyone? ”

even tho it’s fake – those who have alot still want more and don’t like to share

  4. b) Secondly, in addition to the economic benefits, I think that globalization is a tremendous force for world peace. It has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. It has made countries like the US and China interdependent, decreasing the likelihood of hostilities.

    Very true.

  5. let me provide the longer term answer (as there’s really no immediate answer available). Pray for higher & higher wages in China / emerging markets. shit, pray for unions to proliferate in those countries. Them folks making more money will help equalize the cost structure diff.

  6. “DH, do you think there’s enough American consumers here who would pay more to buy “made in USA” products than imports?”
hell no – i’m not saying there’s really anything we can do about it.
just one of those sad realities.”

I’m not saying it isn’t far-fetched, but couldn’t products be priced in such a way that was in line with wages so everyone could afford to buy what they need/want based upon the wages they make?

To take it all the way, money is fake, we make it up, so why can’t we create a system that works for everyone?
