OMG!!!!
so as I complained above – Con Ed is literally outside of my window ripping up the street effectively blocking my driveway and garage so no one can get in or out and of course taking up half the street so no one can even park. They NEVER posted signs warning anyone of this work -am calling to complain!!!!!!!!!!!! AND Would you know that these Mofos left all their trucks etc and went to get Breakfast for like 45 mins – and are now back jackhammering and such

There’s a bike lane in front of my house.
I bike and drive so I’m not particularly in favor of one but I do think we have too many cars in NYC.
Used to be every family had one car max. Now you have 5 cars in each family, it’s ridiculous.

My neighbor has a whole house to himself which he inherited from his parents and he keeps two cars! Big ones.

Anyway, when there was a debate about parking or bike lanes, I went with the bike lane crowd at community meetings. This meant losing street parking all down my street.
My reasons were practical though:
in the summer, you would have all sorts of annoying people driving down here and parking on the street to go to the beach (weekdays since there’s no street parking weekends)

They’d leave all their trash at the curb; beer bottles, styrofoam coolers, underwear, etc.
Then they’d act like the lawn was their locker room or something.
Glad that’s done with. :o)

As long as the beer is tinted green, it’s ok.

i looked for something clean and green and sadly didnt have anything clean and green except my ridiculous neon green reflective vest which makes me look like some sorta public works worker, but it will have to do.
