anyone remember that episode with the photographer trying to sell his 3800sf loft on mulberry st?? he was shocked that they wanted to drop the $6mm asking price. what they didn’t mention was that there were working sweatshops in the building, dozens of open violations and no c/o… I toured that apt when he was renovating. he was an asshole.
Re lawyer, I am sure Slopie has a good lawyer too. This person I am using concentrates on financial services so knows the ins and outs of that world really well….
Most of the stuff on Selling NY, IMO, is overpriced crapola. But then again, I don’t swoon over period details and old style fireplaces. A lot of the apts are really small, yet sell for millions and millions of dollars because of the location, but, again, IMO, the location isn’t so great. I always have to remind myself when watching that show that they are not setting out to show the typical NYC buyer and budget. Then my blood pressure goes back down 🙂
Mopar, just get an external hard drive and download your entire computer. All the files. Most likely you will need to leave that stuff in your computer. I have a product called one-Click, it took me 5 minutes to download my entire files. I forgot the size of the hard drive on the thing (it is massive); I have three computers on it including all the backed up files from work laptop and my personal laptop which went belly up two weeks ago. One click cost about 100 bucks.
Then make an appointment with the lawyer to review legal documents they give you.

This.
Helps with keeping up to date & saves a lot of time when you start a new job.
Kleirs are funny. Especially when they cook scrambled eggs for the dogs’ breakfast and then hand feed it to them!
