What do you think paleontology (the fossils) proves? They don’t point to creationism.
I’m not going to debate this any more. If I were to do so it would have to be in the appropriate environment…a bar with only PBRs and country music on the juke box, sitting there with two guys who both married each others sisters and had 12 teeth between the two of them but otherwise were good drinking buddies.
Gem- it isn’t “goo”, as dave said, it was a primordial soup. Think about it- you need a certain type of molecule to build life forms. Organic molecules- once you get organic molecules, you have a beginning. I realize it takes an understanding of organic chemistry and even geology, but just because you don’t know the answer doesn’t mean you should throw out years of scientific research,data and even proof.
Yes, gem, under the same circumstances as in pre-history, it could happen again.
But those conditions don’t exist anymore. There’s a well established food chain now.
In an environment where all there was were carbon atoms, H and O in an environment where H already combined with O to get water, C,H & O atoms form an organic molecule and those grow larger and largesr over hundreds of millions of years and eventually form a one cell microorganism.
