“OK that’s fine. But it still doesn’t mean you can disprove it. You are incapable of either proving or disproving the existence of God. Faith and atheism are the exact same thing. It’s the arrogance of thinking you know an answer that you couldn’t possibly know.”
I agree we can neither prove nor disprove the existence of G-d. But scientists researching evolution aren’t trying to do that either- they work with actual evidence and leave the question of G-d out of the research. They consider only what they can prove. this is where the creationists get it so wrong. They want creationism to be taught as a science- to do that, you would have to redefine what science is. In which case, you’ve destroyed it.
dona, if you had arrived at Montero’s earlier, I would have shown you an example of a neanderthal hairline on an Asian guy, most likely Thai. He also had a bit of the monkey face. Were he also crosseyed, that would have been the icing on the cake.
I think the next stage of human evolution will be self directed.
As the human genetic code has been largely mapped out.
Provided we don’t kill ourselves off, it may not be long before we can pick and choose which genes to amplify or manipulate.
Look how fast the population has taken to cosmetic surgery to give you an indication of how fast people will jump on line to get Super-Intelligence or Super-Height or Super-Long Life.

“BSM is resorting to repetition to hammer home her point or did you sneezed a few times while hitting the enter key?
M4L – the site was running slowly
It’s so easy a Caveman could do it.

Two steps forward, one backward, Benson.

Ethics questions will abound.
