  1. Someone could make the arguement that investing in the two companies Dave recommended would be the moral and ethical thing to do. The infusion of capital would allow the company to meet the demand for equipment needed during the clean-up and rebuilding process in Japan.

  2. I have some 100% organic cat shit fertilizer if anyone wants to buy some. My wees shit in a corn-based litter, so it’s all good. Grow your tomatoes with Farmer McSnappy’s Organic Cat Shit Fertilizer!

  3. If it is smooth European-style flavored yogurt, why would you expect to see whole strawberries instead of strawberry juice? Strawberry farming, btw, involves one of the more intense uses of pesticides when not farmed organically. I think there was footage in Food Inc of workers in hazmat suits harvesting strawberries. Organic is about toxin avoidance (pesticides, growth hormones, chemical fertilizers), some poeple care and some don’t. It’s easy to make fun of as a lifestyle issue and how mixed up people get about what to buy organic and why, but in a (organic) nutshell, that’s what it is about. We don’t buy a lot of organic stuff, but milk and strawberries are two that we do, milk because factory-farmed milk concentrates so many toxins introduced along the food chain, and strawberries for the reasons above. Oh, and maple syrup, but only because we simply cannot find 100% pure maple syrup on the shelves that isn’t labelled organic (runs for cover).
