  1. funny that dibs – mr “i love asia” is defending the american diet of chemicals, drugs and high fructose corn syrup when the asian diet consists of mostly local fish and produce and they are FAR more healthy than us.

  2. Look, I am ALL for pastured meat and dairy coming from nice family run farms across the US – but obviously the big food corporations are driving marketing campaigns in places like China and India where population is out of control and their income is up. At the same time, the marketing dollars by these corporations are heavily focused on reigning in those spenders to buy meat like never before – so obviously this puts way more demand into the food system and companies like Cargill etc are raking in the dough

  3. I grew up in a meat and potatoes house. We have meat and potatoes and canned vegetables. We had Mrs. Paul’s Fish sticks on Friday. I ate peanut butter and jelly and drank milk with it. I ate Mr. Chips cookies. Wheaties for breakfast.

    And now I am a wreck. 🙂

  4. “and most of the shit labeled organic in supermarkets probably isn’t anyways.”

And if it is there’s shit in there you’re grandma never heard of, which was the point of my yogurt rant. That’s why I don’t go out of my way to buy it.

  5. “yeah, but people only lived to be like 45 back then too – so take your pick”

    LOL….good point.

Besides, the Obama helthcare package will take care of your obesity and heart disease. Come one, come all….

Exactly. Can you tell organic red leaf lettuce fom non-organic?? No. And it’s at least $1.00 more expensive.

  7. “all i know is – meat wasn’t always a staple of the american diet. back in the day people drank like fish, smoked like chimneys and ate meat maybe, what? once a week?

seems to me there were much less lower rates of obesity, heart disease and other stuff before the food industry was taken over by big business.”

yeah, but people only lived to be like 45 back then too – so take your pick
