I personally would have preferred he just smashed the radio. Kidding! But being forced to listen to Nicki Minaj should be illegal. Period. A couple yesterday in Ikea were playing horrible music on their phone while waiting in line. The rest of us were not happy.
yeah, I have to agree with Snaps – maybe the white dude wanted them to turn it off
there is nothing I hate more than teens playing their music out of their tinny android phones and such and it’s ALWAYS the same crap that is played on the radio. As I have said – I feel bad especially for black/hispanic youth b/c they don’t seem to ever want to try and find different music to be into.

Yeah, Snappy, that’s exactly what the girl (who was controlling the tunes) said to her friend once the dude got off the train. She just kept turning it up while the awkward white dude was talking to her friend. Ha.
Maybe a poor attempt at reverse psychology to get them to turn it off? ie strange white dude likes my music and is talking to me, if I turn it off he’ll go away. ?
Awkward subway ride this am! Some kids were playing their music out loud and this weird white dude walks up to them and tries to act like he’s diggin’ the tunes. He’s all, “who is that you’re playing? They sound sooooooo good. I want to buy their album and oh my god who produced that music it really is incredible.†The kid goes, “Rihana and Nicky Minaj.†Dude goes, “Nicky Minard – I’ll have to buy her album – does she have a myspace? and oh my god do you like street art because I like street art.†It was really strange and if I were a dude I would have punched him.
Yes gem, we’re hiring movers not shakers.
