I think young people these days are a bunch of boring little pussies. Listening to music on the bus????? That’s the worst they can do???? Um how about back in the 60s when they were running away from home in their teens to drop massive amounts of acid and live on communes and throw tear gas back at the cops??
Young people aren’t pushing the envelope.
Not in America anyways. At least they’re doing their job in the middle east.
just sayin’. Older folks have always complained about the younger. And young teenagers are at phase where really don’t notice anyone other than their own age group. Worst age group but you all were like that. sorry. Maybe when with family you were goody 2-shoes—but with bunch of friends did not notice rest of world.
IMHO – seems kids are less rowdy today than 20 years ago. And again, I see well-dressed 20 and 30 year old professional types so engrossed in their gadgetry don’t notice the outside world either.
You could make the argument that we currently dangle money in front of people for having kids (although the tax benefits in no way make up for the costs).
I think that any financial incentives would have to be pretty huge to influence the decision to have children or not.

“Maybe when with family you were goody 2-shoes—but with bunch of friends did not notice rest of world.”
Not true. At least not true of me and my friends at that age. We knew better.
pete’s right.
it’s a sure sign you’re old if you think the younger generation is somehow worse than you were at that age.

yeah – because dangling a few thousand dollars in front of poor people will make them think rationally.
are they thinking rationally when they have kids they cant support that tax payers have to subsidize? how is it any different?

“You could always go into arbitration for collective bargaining.”
Too controversial. I’m a non-confrontational person.
