  1. Dona – well at least it’s the whole company (not sure that makes it any better of course) but there is a reason and once you have your wits about you – you will be on your better path to happiness…

  2. rf, that’s when you know you are doing a good job with your kid — when everybody else comments on what a nice, respectful, charming kid she is. With you…..comeon, she’s a TEENAGER!!!! 🙂

  3. They are closing the company; it is a small sub of a monster Japanese trading company. 25 people. I just went in there, the Japanese CEO looked like he was going to cry. Apologizing to me for all the bs they put me through. Then sort of ok severance, not great, but liveable. Now I have to talk to customers. Ugh.

  4. “-But Who’s society? not American society….”

You could argue that a big reason for Obama winning the Democratic primaries was due to the efforts or relatively young people being organized via the Internet.

I don’t think that the Tea Party movement or the recent Wisconsin protests would have been anywhere near the size they are without the Internet.

  5. My daughter (now 15) and I used public transportation all the time when she was growing up (didn’t have a car from age 6 or 7 to almost 13, plus we always took the subway to school starting from when she was 3.5) and I tried to set a good example. I like to think that she is a good citizen when she is out on her own, but of course I don’t get to see her when she’s not with me. I do think she’s not a litterbug–I HATE THAT!

I get reports from her babysitting clients and the parents of her friends and other adults she interacts with that she is a great kid, very polite, responsible, blah blah blah. She’s not always so nice to me, but I’ve heard that’s a pretty common phenomenon.
