BHS- True, liberals can gloss over some of the uglier aspects but again, it’s also how multiculturalism is defined. I always thought of it as the pc word for the Great Melting Pot- Multiculturalism is supposed to be about acceptance and understanding on all sides so in a way the term itself has been hijacked to mean something different now.Usually by people who don’t really understand what it means.
I completely shut out the entire world from my Facebook account except for family. We have a group which updates one another on the health of my parents on a day to day basis for example (we talk but it is a way to communicate impt info fast to a lot of people). And I get to wish people happy birthday and see their pictures and communicate easily with everyone. A couple of other people are in there too, but I don’t want any of the larger world in this. There is too much potential for abuse.
But as far as Linkedin is concerned, I love it. It is fabulous and I think it is great for networking and communicating easily with people.
I think benson was trying to warn us that since mormons have taken over Utah be careful cause trying to take over whole country. You see those guys with white shirts riding our subways.
Before you know it, one of them will be trying to become president of the united states.
Times says that Christie has been misleading about his signature issues: teachers have been paying into insurance since 2007 & in a “few dozen school districts where employees agreed to concessions last year [they] still saw layoffs & cuts in academic programs.”
I do think that liberals do tend to gloss over the uglier and more unpleasant aspects of multiculturalism, but I also know you can find plenty of similar arguments in US history describing the problems with Germans, Irish, Italians, Poles, Jews, Catholics, Chinamen, Japanese, Mexicans, Negros, etc in our society.
rf, agreed. son was invited to b-m party last wkend (he did not go), and I heard there were abt 40 kids (girls all dolled up) and chaperones were definitely kept at work. My son does not appear to be anywhere near that mature yet. Maybe I should be glad.
Silverdaddies is my go to social networking site of choice. It’s features are quite incredible. I can search for a 30-35 year old bottom between 5’9″ and 6’2″ and 150-185 lbs who lives within 0.5 miles of my zip code

LinkedIn is AMAZING for networking for business. I use linkedin quite frequently with my job search.

I just find the whole FB/Linked in thing to be exhausting.
