  1. Most of WNYC’s (NYC public radio) budget is from listener contributions. WQXR, the only classical music station in NYC, is part of WNYC now–was threatened with extinction when the NY Times sold its call number license last year but was rescued by WNYC.

  2. My father told me to play golf right handed since he said there was some eye hand advantage for lefties. But then I went out a couple of times with righty clubs and they thought I was developmentally disabled.

He taught my brothers how to switch hit, very useful skill.

  3. rf, thanks for the Passover schedule. I assume that means the first Seder is Monday the 18th and the second is Tuesday the 19th?

Growing up in CT, we always had all the Jewish Holidays off, too.

  4. I am a lefty. My mother is a lefty who was forced to be a righty. I read an article which tried to follow lefties through life and measure health-related issues and the studies got screwed up past middle age since they found a lot of lefties died young. They opined that lefties were brain-damaged somehow.

Lefty bonus. I can mirror write, i.e. write totally backwards without effort.
