  1. “my grandmother used to take us out in the stroller and give my mother free time. Also, great aunt would come over a few times a week so my mother could go up to Mrs Bannigan’s house to relax, have coffee and gossip.”

That sounds so nice. I knew I wouldn’t have any of that kind of support. Definitely influenced my decision not to have children.

  2. I was on the first traunche of kids, so I got to be a little mother and take care of younger ones, when my youngest sister was born though, my mother told me to get a life and go outside and play and leave her alone with the kid. I was enjoying have a live doll.

Gem, my sister used to make baby food. She came up with these concoctions in her blender and then froze them in ice cube trays.

  3. Gem, you still here?
If you don’t know how to swaddle a baby, ask the nurses at the hospital. There’s an actual way of doing it that tucks their hands into a pocket that you’ve created by folding the blanket. This way the blanket doesn’t unravel.

or you can buy a swaddler. Which I loved!

Gothic chuch in SF mission district turned into single family house, it’s fantastic.

The kitchen has a nice modern vibe and baths are serene. Place seems perfect for parties, it’s just missing some “victorian era” areas for stolen kisses, slaps.
