cobble…antibiotics are (generlly) geared to act upon either gram negative or gram positive bacteria, not both. So, most antibiotics are not “broad spectrum”
Lech is correct about that – ie not hard to tell these obvious truths. ie those damn expensive satelites that the US, China, EU,… are firing up into the skies for scientific purposes – only idiots would believe that BS. those satelites are for GPS capabilities for missle systems. same as reason why US is so hard on Iran, US companies want in on those juicy oil pipelines spanning thru Iran Turkey into the EU. Stating the obvious without any resolution is “so what”
I’m under the impression that taking yogurt/pro-biotics while you are on antibiotics is pointless, and that one should take them once your off the antibiotics.
Wouldn’t the antibiotics just kill off the good bacteria, too, while you are taking the antibiotics?
Anyone have any meal ideas that I can make now and freeze so I can use it the first few weeks after baby is born?
I made baked ziti last night and froze half the pan. I guess I can do a beef stew – but anything else???
“Thanks for the link, Biff. Does that mean you’re ready to play “Chomsky says…. so what?” with me?”
No, just linking to an article some may find interesting. I’ve found there is no point in debating with friends on topics that have already been debated and where it has become clear that there will never be any common ground agreed to on a particular topic. Of course this is contrary to how some others in the OT feel (e.g., the neverending healthcare debates that change nobody’s mind). I have a good friend in New York who was very supportive of Bush II and the Iraq invasion. After many debates and the near loss of friendship, we had an unspoken moratorium whereby we both just stopped talking about it.
It’s similar to your feelings on Chomsky and The Beatles. There’s zero point debating it as I’m confident we’ll never agree on either topic. So we should stick to things that we can discuss, such as alcohol and strippers.
Biff – Re: your 11:48 – Isn’t that all just obvious though? I mean it’s honestly not hard to see that stuff like that is true. If that’s Chomsky’s contribution to thinking he’s demonstrated maybe a slightly above average ability to recognize patterns.

You guys still up with Charlie Sheen?

So again, I’ll ask: SO WHAT???
