“Go read the First Amendment, you silly PLUSA, you!” (Alternate non-PC version says “dumb ass”, but I digress.)
This can be verified by CGar, (admittedly under duress) who edited the 467,824 page manual. It can also be verified by Snappy and Slopey, PLUSA in-house council.
Chavez doesn’t speak any “unspoken truth.” He just points out the way the world works as if it’s some kind of huge reveal, like he’s super impressed with himself that he finally figured it out. People like Chomsky have never mattered, and they never will. People who play the game matter. People who get things done matter.
The kids had a blast.
…but that’s only because I had to endure getting blasted by giant stink bugs, hugged by large fuzzy characters, twisted and turned on all sorts of rides, eating all kinds of sugary sweet treats and dining with a huge elephant’s head blaring 120 decibel jungle sounds while I attempted to eat!
Hi, all, just thought I would try to drop in here. 12:33pm.) Not gonna debate Chomsky as it might take me days to reappear to defend whatever I initially said.
No, rf, I’m not “still up with Charlie Sheen.” I went to bed at my normal time and let him go on a bender by himself. No mercury surfboards for me, thanks.
Finished the Chomsky interview. 2 more great quotes, IMHO:
“I think that the United States and its European allies will do everything they can to prevent full flourishing democracy in Egypt for exactly the reason I mentioned.”
“I think a more accurate statement would be that elite elements are in the West, in Egypt, the old regime, and Iran and elsewhere are not ready for democracy. People are ready for democracy everywhere. That is the problem elite face.”
Well worth the read, PLUSAs. Thanks again for posting, Biff.
M4L- there’s truth to that, but the downside for apple is that they are much higher priced, and you get less bells and whistles than you can with pc in the same price range. Uber-control has always been what kept Apple back.
Chomsky, good grief….
^^^^^^^^^^^
I mean Chomsky, not Chavez.
But you can see how I would make that mistake.
“Is that written somewhere in the Brownstoner Posting Rules & Regulations? Did I somehow miss an OT ban on freedom of speech?”
The PLUSA manual specifically covers this. Chapter 2, Section 34, Paragraph 8 says:
“Go read the First Amendment, you silly PLUSA, you!” (Alternate non-PC version says “dumb ass”, but I digress.)
