“I’m sure that next Monday, Slopey will outdo them both and tell everyone the gathering was the previous Friday.”
Actually, I was there last Friday wondering where the hell you all were.

Separately, I am looking to buy a pair of speakers. My criteria — they need to sound really good when I play my Miles Davis LPs. Mrs. Slopey’s criteria — they need to be relatively small and white, so she won’t notice them too much. Where in Manhattan/Brooklyn would you recommend I shop for such an item (i.e. decent audio store with good selection where you can audition speakers)? Willing to spend mid to upper 3 figures.
Scott, I didn’t forget that I told Wendy I’d help you find a sitter if you need one, but I was a bit distracted last week. So, if it turns out you don’t have a sitter after all, email me and let me know.

“Legion, is it true one might face potential contamination due to unsafe backlot tours?”
Yes, especially if the tour involves legumes ejected at high velocity from private areas. Such tours have been known to be located in parts of Brooklyn. ;o)
bxgrl, I have been a fan of AMD chips for a while. It’s what I use at home and I am a proponent of them at work.
I have never liked cloud computing for all the reasons you mention, plus I don’t think it is really any cheaper for a decent sized company once you add up all the costs.
“cobble, baked goods would go a long way in helping you live it down. I guarantee that would be the case with me”
Thanks for the helpful (and so subtle) hint, M4L! : P

No, DIBS, entirely different. But thanks for the mental image. NOT!
Phil Collins is retiring from music.

I have a lot on my mind
Is that similar to a backlot on your face?
