Legion, I also still have my SugarHill Gang EP! That actually was the first record I had as Wacky Weirdos was in fact my sister’s. I’ll clear out Montero’s on Friday by doing my 15 minute rendition of Rapper’s Delight without the help of the teleprompter.

Rapper’s Delight
ha ha, that’s one of my prized recordings,
I think that was the second album I bought
with my own money.
I used to have a bunch of Beatles 45’s that
I got when I was like 8 years old and some
kid came out of his house with a stack of
records and started giving them away.
He was like 5 years old so I don’t think his
mom knew about it.
But hey, possession is 9/10’s of the law,
as they say.
M4L, I might be pretty hung over on Friday so that’s kinda hanging in the balance. No official farewell from BK although this is my last full week as a BK resident. Closing and moving are both next week.
The first 45 I owened was
I Feel the Earth Move
by Carole King
I traded that one for The Candy Man
as performed by Sammy Davis Jr.
Oh, I also had
Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron
by the Royal Guardsmen
I will say this though – if ANY of you have old 78’s lying around – they are worth lots of $$ – reach out to certain record companies who digitally remaster old timey artists – they use the 78’s as the first genesis of the recording
No, dibs. No wax cylinders. Think it’d be neat, though.
Cobble – I have quite a few 78s & an old wind-up Victrola. Would love to get rid of some of the 78s – where do I do that?
