  1. In the past I have lost out on hiring a couple of good candidates due to credit issues.

We had one crappy situation where a contract employee had been doing a great job for a year. When trying to move him to permanent, HR came back and said that due to his credit we had to kick him out immediately.

  2. Lech – like I said – you should tip them $75-100 per man for the day
    if they are good!

if they are crappy or are trying to make the job go longer by being lazy etc – then tip them how you feel

  3. “I went to a million Lollapalooza festivals when I was younger and guess what – there was ALWAYS a dangerous mosh pit in the middle of the crowd”

holy crap gem, so you’re a racist too???

  4. BSM/Jessi – that’s solid advice! thanks! – I am open to taking a cab into the city for an interview like others suggested but obviously it scares me.

Rob – probably some West Indian nanny 😉 haaaa – well my mom would do 1 day, and my niece who is West Indian said she could do it for 2 days (she has a 2.5 year old and is at home anyway all day not working b/c she’s um an illegal) -so we need to find someone to take care of the baby the other 2 days.

  5. Rob, not all industries ask to see a credit report. Those that do often deal with financial products. And thank god for that – it keeps people like my brother away from other people’s money.
