I’m sure the plumbing would be a bitch, but a refrigerator that hooked in with a house-wide heat pump system would be cool.
It would also be cool if the dishwasher and clothes drying could also be hooked up in such a way to use and/or move the excess heat in an efficient manner.
Of course, in my apartment I don’t even have an external vent for my clothes dryer.

I always wondered why someone can’t invent a refrig that in the winter takes in cold air from the outside. That would be energy efficient,
