  1. I agree that firing someone, or not making them permanent hires because of credit issues is ridiculous, and should not be allowed. Having a poor credit report does not always mean that someone is out of control, has poor judgement or is spending the rent money at Bloomingdale’s. All you need is to be laid off, go to the hospital, or have some other emergency that sucks up vast amounts of money, and boom, your credit is toast. Most people need, duh! a steady job to start to make it right again. Really, really unfair.

  2. quote:
Judging on race is not looking at the individual’s past performance – stark contrast to what a credit report is.

not everyone with bad credit tho is at fault. some people fuck other people’s credit up, some people dont even know what credit is, and some people are victims of identity fraud, and some people are just born with poor economic judgement. so yes, it is the same as judging someone based on race or gender or sexual orientation

  3. rf – Yes, I’ve been on PSP way back when it first started & more recently. There are helpful ideas but if gem were to “share” her baby care plan I feel certain she’d be shot down in flames by rabid mommas.

  4. Arkady -ha! I joined PSP and I can tell already I am probably not the typical PS mom – I am sure I will be hated by the questions I ask – but I have to do what’s right for us – I wish we had more money, but we don’t so we will have to adapt. I just think the women on PSP are well-to-do and have lots of money so they can afford ideal options whether they stay home or work out of the home. My husband and I are totally middle class or at this stage lower middle class living in a high class hood! – haaaaaa
