gem, so glad you have a rational handle on the baby thing! My son had sitters from when he was a few weeks old, and we also took him along to parties and such (quite the babe magnet, but of course I was not looking then, and now he won’t play along but that’s another story).
By the time he was 5 or so he’d ask “when are you guys going out again?” as he loved his babysitter. No throwing-up-when-parents-went-out for him.
