i got a letter from a collection agency in the mail yesterday saying i owe $137.68 and the original creditor is Verizon New Jersey Inc. (I havent lived in NJ in like 10 years and i never had any kind of phones bills under my name in NJ) anyway the disconnected # is not mine or was ever mine, i believe it was my grandparents… it’s addressed to me but with the common spelling of my last name which is the name that my grandfather’s phone bill was always listed under for some reason that im not aware of. but he died in 2004 and my grandmother moved to south carolina in 2007. the letter says i can pay half of this as a settlement, but i dont think i should have to.. how did they find me in brooklyn? and why is it sent so late? is it possible that the phone number in jersey was never shut off and the new people just used the phone the whole time? (it was the projects afterall…)? also since the last name is spelled wrong but i have the same name as my grandfather do i have to pay this and is it going to affect my credit (not that that could get anyway worse really, but still..) also will my grandmother have to pay this? i really dont want her to have to pay it either, it’s not like it’s listed under her name anyway.
My niece is a teacher in suburban Atlanta. Greedy little bitch makes $44k. Yeah, let’s solve the state budget problems around the country by stepping on the throats of the middle class. Totally makes sense.
Biff, I was thinking $4 million, at least!
$44K in suburban Atlanta is like $440k in NYC.
lawyer and legal advice needed!!

yep, my aunt. Her pension pays out $23K a year after 40 years as a teacher in NJ.
She also now pays $7K/month for assisted living. Depression baby saved her pennies.
Had me some nice pork belly last night and took leftover to work for lunch – cant wait till lunch hr
got too excited and forgot to say good morning first
Bring on the Orlando Magic. Let’s go Knicks!!!
