  1. “hey – i was fooled by obama – i was all jacked on that “change” stuff. no change.”

You and me both….and apparently the majority of voters who voted for all the House seats.

  2. etson- I know. It’s not a discussion i want to re-open, but I put it in as part of a point regarding the political agenda of the conservatives. Not a discussion of it per se.

So, where do you stand on breast feeding, hmmm? 😉

  3. etson, the examples you give are not ‘against their interest’, but you’re cherry-picking. By appealing to conservative social values, the Repubs gain some credence with a segment of the people, and that serves them well when their real agenda is in play…which *is* against the interests of the lower- and working-classes.

  4. “I guess I would question how any of those things are against their interest.
Talking about lower middle to middle class working people here.”

well – considering part one of that appeals strongly to their moral sensibilities

and part two is a gross oversimplification of macroeconomics that misleadingly guarantees something that cannot be guaranteed –

i’d say it’s not that difficult to trick a voter.

hey – i was fooled by obama – i was all jacked on that “change” stuff. no change.

  5. Sometimes I’ve done things that i actually know are not good for me.

I too am in favor of women having sex. Everyone should have sex. the more sex they have the less grouchy they’ll be.

    rob??????????

  6. M4L – these people don;t carry their own BB’s – it’s a company owned BB where the person is expected to check it when they leave work, check it on the train, check it when they get home, at dinner, after dinner and before they go to sleep – gimme a break – that’s friggin BONDAGE if you ask me which is WORSE than being poor -sure agreed they are better off than someone living in the Appalachin mountains in Coal mining country where they haven’t had a job in decades!
