The China thing is interesting. I’ve seen several fiance types (ie, not liberals) call for China to enact a social security-like pension system. Reason: The damn Chinese would then stop saving so much and start spending.
dh- I’ll look around too. I’d love to work with animals, but I’ve done hospital work, Big sister, and other stuff so as long as I can do something worthwhile, I’m happy.
Can I just be a meanie for a second?
Is anyone familiar with the PS 22 chorus that performed on the Oscars last night and are currently performing on Oprah now? Ok, well they annoy me. I know I know, they are little kids and they do sound good – but like GET IT TOGETHER with what they should be doing as far as their physical movements! I blame the choral director obviously – but they all bop to their own beat, throwing hands all around the place, it just looks SOO messy! – sorry I had to get that off my chest! Perhaps I could give my tax dollars to them to improve their gesticulations!

“most of my friends work in media or publishing and haven’t seen a raise in 3-4 years. ”
G10, you know people in publishing are supposed to come from wealthy families, live on the UES, and be subsidized by their white wealthy parents.
Da kid had a few interviews at Conde Nast thru a friend. Thank goodness she didn;t get the job. 18k.
