bxgrl,
I realize that snappy brought the billboard issue up but I read your posting which started with the “racist” tag.
I should have attributed the police/racist angle to rf since she’s the one who went in that direction.
The girl’s family not wanting her image on the billboard is a separate consent/legal issue. Jane “Roe” is now a pro-lifer but that doesn’t stop everyone from using her name in the debate.
cmu, the drive from Montreal to Quebec City is only a couple of hours, if memory serves, so the train ride shouldn’t be significantly longer from Toronto the there.
How about flying to Toronto, taking the train to Quebec City, driving (via rental car) or taking the train from Quebec City to Montreal and then flying or driving (via rental car) back to New York from Montreal? Then you can spend a day or two in Montreal. You can even bus back from Montreal to New York; it’s actually not that much longer than driving. And the bus is full of French Canadians, which aren’t quite as bad as the stereotypical American Greyhound bus passengers.
“Keep googling. Go back about a week to the beginning of the situation.”
Sweet Jesus. Google has perfected time travel too?

Shamrock Shakes are back at McDonalds.
I’d be embarrassed to even know that.
Think you have to go through Montreal to get the train to / from Quebec City anyway.
“Shamrock Shakes are back at McDonalds.”
That’s the best news I’ve heard since the return of the McRib!
“the republicans will win, as it should be, as it was the will of the people who elected a Republican majority.”
If that were the case, how come Republicans didn’t act like that when Obama was elected? You know, majority, will of the people and all?
Keep googling. Go back about a week to the beginning of the situation.
