Jessi, do you know this for a fact? I am giving you facts, not hypotheticals. Haven’t seen that in my industry or other consumer products and I look at pricing all day long.
Maybe SOME bodegas do it but that by far doesn’t constitute majority of the “market”. We post suggested ‘retail prices’ on our products but about 40% of our accounts actually sell them for LESS that we post as they don’t mind making a lesser profit margin to stay competitive. Yes, some high end toy stores sell for probably higher than retail but that’s such a tiny portion of the market, it almost seems irrelevant. And they only pick up like 5-10 items out of our 4,000 items line.
Randi, what odds do you place on the new CBA will be juicier than current one – ie cause even the current one wont allow us to sign CP3 if Melo maxes out? if we go with anything is possible route, heck, Fields could turn into Michael Jordan but I wouldnt be betting big money on that scenario

I went to Hebrew School when I was 4 & 5 – wanted to do something different from my brother who was taking Catholic lessons & my mother suggested shul. It was a lot more interesting than Sunday school I’d been to – better stories & coloring books.

Hey Scott, any fun things I should see while in LA next week? I’ve already seen all the main touristy things (hollywood sign, hollywood blvd, Griffith observatory, beverly hills, bel air, malibu, santa monica, etc.) but maybe you have some scoop on anything else.
If you had a choice of spending a day in Santa Barbara or Palm Springs, which would you choose?
Kens – here’s an example of what I think Rob is talking about with the ice cream:
Bodega in DUMBO carries Hagen Daaz and Ben and Jerry’s and sells them for $5 a pint. Van Leeuwen goes to that bodega and says to sell his pints at $8 each. Bodega dude figures hey, if I can sell this stuff for $8, let me see if I can get away with selling the Ben and Jerry’s for $5.50.

the Heat trio all signed for 14.5M/yr avg (or 43.5M/yr for the 3 stars). Amare is 20M/yr. if Melo asks & signs his extension, he’ll make 21M/yr. look at what Miami has as far supporting players that they could get under the cap (ie not much). with Melo and Amare eating up 41M/yr, knicks wont be able to get much as far as supporting cast too. So to think Chris Paul, Deron Williams or Dwight Howard would join the team is just pipe dream – ie does Melo honestly think those stars would be willing to sign for $8M/yr while they make 20-21M/yr?
Heat trio put money where their mouth is – willing to take less money to try to win. Melo (& possibly Amare) is more about Money than winning. action speaks way louder than words
