Dave, you are right about one thing, I don’t know enough about the specifics and the nitty gritty details. So I’m not going to say anything else until I do know.
You haven’t won, it’s just that some of us aren’t getting paid while sitting here arguing with you. Gotta go earn my keep, be back later.
It is neat to learn about paintings by XRays which show the underlying drawing, changes to the original and restorations. Sometimes bad restorations which get re-restored to their original state. It was neat to see the Sistine chapel in bright colors. There is an NHK documentary on that conservation effort which removed centuries of crud from the original bright colors.
OMG! Government cheese was the best. Far better than government peanut butter. My grandmother got THREE five pound boxes a month for a while. She also got other things, but the big cannisters of peanut butter and the boxes of cheese were the big ones.
Not yet, but the way things are going (south) I wouldn’t mind a little face lift in about 10 years! Fortunately, the rest of me seems to be holding up pretty well! : P

“On the other had I did agree with you about the arts so that’s gotta be worth something, even coming from a democrat.” 🙂

Dunkin Donuts coffee? Blech. That’s what comes out when a bale of hay wipes its ass with an old shoe.
Your metaphors are becoming more “country” what with your moving further and further north. 😀
I agree, but they are trying to be a gourmet vendor now and they are charging for that. Tastes bad.
I was just reading about wood panel piece which was taken apart during WW2, and two panels of it are missing.
I’ve seen art tested for repairs, it’s a pretty interesting process.
Sometimes I think all politicians should leave town.
“Have you had work done, cobble?”
