Lech – am not so sure that Tahini is essential. The reason why I don’t think so is that there are plenty of new “Hummus” fast food places in the city opening up and you can order your hummus with Tahini or not….
I like tahini!!
I have not been able to follow the OT today — too much other stuff going on, but I just have one question:
*Rob* – what is a vinegar sandwich and why is vinegar a such a big part of your diet? I mean, vinegar is a wonderful thing that cuts fat and mixed with certain foods, it is great.
But you mention vinegar a lot. To the extent of budgeting for it. Am I being literal? Is it a joke?
i just googled cumin cuz i dont always trust people when they give me recipes, they’ve been known to playing a joke on me.. and according to wikipedia
“during the Middle Ages cited cumin as keeping chickens and lovers from wandering. It was also believed a happy life awaited the bride and groom who carried cumin seed throughout the wedding ceremony.”

Yes, rob, the more you’re cumin with your partner, the less you will stray.

I’ve never heard of making hummus without tahini. I thought hummus without tahini was like a pb&j without peanut butter.
