In the past I used the spice packets a lot, especially gravy mixes and various Chinese flavorings. I don’t think I have used one in the last year, but I do often use Chicken Bullion to add flavor to soups and rice/noodle dishes.
I consider myself an expert on getting out of poverty because I have done it several times myself.
And Rob, you should be proud that you do not get public assistance.
Next Step: Figure out how to make more money. You already are a full time worker, you might as well get paid more for your time.
I like the packets for fajitas & tacos. But I always get the thirsties after using them – they must have msg or a ton of salt. (No, I don’t look at the ingredients.)
I use those leftover spice packets for chop suey. Spicy chop suey is seriously delicious.

CGar, if you dont know about those packets then you’re:
1) dont cook much at all or
2) is good cook – good enough to do spice combo from scratch

dh, I use them for chili…get the hot mix.
Creamed vorn or corn chowder is really great. I should try that in a can
