“Randi’s not the biggest troll by definition here.”
As Potter Stewart said, trolls are like porn, Snappy. You know them when you see them.
That said, I don’t think randi is a troll, and I’ve generally come around to liking him/her. Though (a) I’m often accused of liking everyone; and (2) I would like to know if randi is a he or a she.
IMHO, I think someone like “peace now” is a troll, and ghettoazzpunkwhatever.
“The suppression of ideas The Brooklyn Paper engages in isn’t the same kind that Murdoch might approve of.”
Murdoch? The owner of Fox News and the NY Post? Hahahahahahahaha
Want to read a hit piece? Open the Post any day of the week.
Want to see political opinion masquerading as journalism? Fox News. They both suck big, fat, floppy elephant dick. In fact since Murdoch owns the Brooklyn Paper, well….
Nothing like a nice bracing round of political discussion 🙂
“i still firmly stand my beliefs that if given the chance, with a guarantee of not getting caught, 99 out of 100 nurses would stomp on a kittin.”
*rob*, if you knew some of the nurses I know/have known, I really don’t think you’d make such offensive generalized statements. I’m taking it personally on their behalves.
And, PS, why did you say in the LICH thread you hate living in Brooklyn when you’ve previously posted it’s the nicest/best place you’ve ever lived???
Jackal, I am in agreement with you somewhat. However, have others been banned just for disagreeing? Do they publish posts critical of their articles from others? You don’t think some of your past hijinks have something to do with it? Do you think print newspapers have a right to edit their letters page and decide what gets printed? Why do you think a newspaper should provide unfettered access to anyone who wants to post? I am not agreeing with the decision, or even processing to like the paper, but I think you may be softpedaling your role in its decision and claiming more moral high ground than may be there.
And actually, Arkady, you should go back and read some of the pieces they have written about local conservative politicians. Unbelievably transparent opinion pieces. Not even close to real news.
I’m sure there are some issues where we agree, but that’s just not the point. I don’t care if it’s liberals or conservatives that do this sort of thing. It’s gross when anyone does it.
Can you imagine if Fox News systematically deleted dissenting comments from their website? Or banned dissenting commenters? I’m sure there would be outrage.

“Hey, everyone. Sorry about the re-emergence of the evil flash script. We’re working on it…”
Thank you , Mr. B!

I agree that they don’t do news, they do opinion. What I liked about them long ago was just the little factoids & squibs about silly local issues.

Rob, let it go. You’ve made your point that you hate everything. Nothing happy to report from your b-day yesterday? Anything good happen?

It’s dishonest no matter who does it.
