And, PS, why did you say in the LICH thread you hate living in Brooklyn when you’ve previously posted it’s the nicest/best place you’ve ever lived???
well i’ve lived in a LOT of truly horrible places, pretty much my entire life. (well except for the lower east side and chelsea). but i love where i live now, of course. i like my apt, it’s a pretty neighborhood, safe, nice commute, etc. but in general i have a bit of distaste for nyc, brooklyn in particular.
Snappy, I’d say that Lechacal’s comments to the Brooklyn Paper in response to their goose massacre article and in response to their columnist whose kid goes to the same school as his kids categorize him as a troll.
Slope, with respect to Goosegate, many people who had equally strong and acidic views on the other side of the issue were not banned.
No reason they have to allow comments at all, and they should be able to manage the level of profanity, silliness, etc however they see fit – as long as they do so evenly, which The Brooklyn Paper does not.
The New York Times only seems to allow highbrow comments. But as far as I know they don’t deem only those on one side of an issue to be sufficiently highbrow. As long as you give them something thoughtful and well written it gets through.
The Brooklyn Paper doesn’t care about thoughtful or well written – they care about whether you agree with them.

“You don’t think some of your past hijinks have something to do with it?”
This was my guess.
Same reason we all got banned from BHB.
I’ve seen “is this person a troll” discussions get much nastier than the trolling activity in question.
I do my best to ignore posters who are being assholes.
rf, on the BP’s board or this one?
for CGar- profile changed to the truth.
