  1. delepp and lechacal

They used to say this about South American nations,
    during Bolivar’s time:
    Train your Military in Venezuela
    Your Priests in Peru
    and your Professors in Colombia.

It’s a very cultured nation with prime Caribbean waterfront
and a beautiful Spanish Colonial city with a good standard of living. It’s also a stable US friendly democracy.

    …when are you going lech?

Yes but it wasn’t that that drove them away. It was the plathering during sex.

  3. Bxgrl, I think that what happens sometimes is that certain topics are particularly difficult to discuss using this medium. Particularly if the purpose is to “represent” and not really try to see another’s point of view. But more importantly, there simply may not be enough time or attention, given that we are all doing something else…working. [or should be working]

And the point I was trying to make is that certain topics are very difficult to discuss without time, the willingness to enter into another’s very different experience and to really understand what goes into another’s thinking. Or even just to really read the posts and to read them accurately.

After all is said and done, if people do have the time and openness to really explore a very different way of thinking, they might say….. ok, well, I do not come to the same conclusions for x, y or z reasons, but I understand you and your experience better. In the end, certain things will sort of fizzle because people do not want to talk about them or really can’t talk about them. It sort of self-corrects. My point about certain topics is that they are simply too important to not get the full attention of those discussing them…..and that the OT is just not the ideal place.

    That’s all I meant.
