“As one reviewer put it well, seeing this movie is like going to one of those college lectures in which the professor has a strong political view, and his lesson consists of bending every fact to fit this worldview.”
WOW…….That sure reminds me of a number of people on brownstoner!!!!!
Bxgrl–Breaking AWay! Totally with you. Somebody told me the other day that they thought I looked like Daniel Stern and it led to a long discussion of our love for that movie.

“King of Hearts”
“Black Orpheus”
“Annie Hall”
“Maria Full of Grace”
“The Squid and the Whale”
Excellent list! I hereby award you the “Best Taste in Movies” award. If I had to name one movie that was my all-time favorite, I would be tempted to name “How Green Was My Valley”.
Snappy,
I’m sorry, but I’m awarding you the “Worst taste in Movies” award just based on your naming American History X as a favorite. In my mind, this is the all-time worst movie ever made. As one reviewer put it well, seeing this movie is like going to one of those college lectures in which the professor has a strong political view, and his lesson consists of bending every fact to fit this worldview. Awful, just awful.
